Paul W. Kahn, LCSW, DCSW, CBC

Monika Kahn, MEd, CBC

I am a native of Switzerland where for 25 years I co-directed two social service organizations; a farming school and a residential vocational school for learning disabled youth. I am trained in body-centered (somatic) psychological counseling, Transactional Analyses, Compassionate Bereavement Counseling for traumatic loss, Eugene Gendlin's Focusing and Leadership and Management Consulting. I am currently studying relational psychoanalysis with Lynn Preston's Focusing Oriented Relational Psychotherapy Institute (FORP).

I am guiding women of all ages to recognize their innate power and to skillfully use it in their professional and relational settings. I am solution oriented and work from a grounded place to support each client's personal goals in the quest for healing and growth. Together we explore your patterns, history, and outlook as they manifest in physical, emotional and mental parts of the personal self, as well as in relationships, work, community life, recreation, and spirituality.

I want to share with each person the power I have found in nature growing up hiking, skiing and mountain climbing in the alps.

I am also certified in Compassionate Bereavement Care for Traumatic Loss and provide counseling and supports for bereavement, with a speciality in working with those who have suffered traumatic loss such as the death of a child or sudden unexpected loss.

LIVING PROCESS COUNSELING

Services

I have been a caring, practical and skilled psychotherapist for over 25 years, integrating many schools of relational psychoanalysis, Eugene Gendlin's Focusing, and holistic therapies.

My practice is a welcoming and safe space open to folks of any gender, orientation, race, or religion. People who work with me feel they are deeply listened to and understood. This is the foundation of my work, and more important than the traditions and techniques in which I have trained and use in doing therapy.

I see adults, adolescents, pre-teens, families, and couples. I am solution oriented and work to support each client's personal goals in the quest for healing and growth, exploring physical, emotional and mental parts of the personal self, as well as relationships, work, community life, recreation, and spirituality.

I am certified in Compassionate Bereavement Care for Traumatic Loss and provide psychotherapy and supports for bereavement, with a speciality in working with those who have suffered traumatic loss such as the death of a child or sudden unexpected loss.
